Solar Fest at Idle Creek Farms
On April 8, 2024 a rare total solar eclipse will occur, providing us with 4 minutes and 23.5 seconds of total darkness in the middle of the day!
At Idle Creek Farms, we're celebrating this once-in-a-lifetime event with a family friendly festival to match the epic memories you'll make.
This event includes optional overnight accommodations, the opportunity to camp in one of our fields or on our creek, and access to our attractions (see below).
Campsites
Camp overnight with your family in one of our beautiful fields. Campers can come as early as April 4 and stay as long as April 9. Shared campfires available.
Creek-Side Campsites
Upgrade your camping experience and pitch your tent directly on Idle Creek! These premium campsites are gorgeous, you can't beat them. (SOLD OUT)
Farm Animals
Your family will love our horses, mini-donkeys, baby goats, cows and all the other furry friends that live at Idle Creek. Feeding and holding experiences available.
Wagon Rides
Take a wagon ride around the farm and along the creek. The wagon is also available to help you move your gear from your car to your campsite.
Food and Drinks
You can expect an array of delicious treats while you're at the farm. Lemonade, funnel cakes, BBQ, tacos and beer are just a few of the offering you'll find. (Campers can also bring their own food, if they prefer)
Axe-throwing
Try your hand at a striking sport, like axe-throwing or archery.
Unlimited throws included in admission!
Barrel Train
Little ones love to take a spin on our barrel train! This little train is pulled by a mini John Deere tractor, and you can ride as much as you like.
Jump Pad
Kids leap for joy on our giant Jump Pad!
This attraction doesn't allow shoes, so keep that in mind when packing.
Rabbitat
Come interact with bunnies in our Rabbitat! Groups of 3 at a time are allowed in this attraction, with an Idle Creek staff member.
Games
Fill you downtime with a round of corn hole or horse shoes while you sip a delicious lemonade from our snack bar.
Pedal Carts
Take one of our peddle carts for a spin! Kids of all ages enjoy the Barnyard 500.
Creek Access
Wading, swimming and fishing are available in the creek during Solar Fest (campers only).
Shared Campfires
Campers can enjoy cooking on shared campfires during Solar Fest (campfires are now being allowed at campsites. Please bring your own fire ring).
